As I sit in my hospital bed I hear the soft footsteps entering the room, the door closing with the latch catching with a quite metallic click. I didn't need to open my eyes to know who had come. Not that she hadn't been beside me almost every minuet regardless. Even when I'd told her not to.

"Open your eyes Colonel"

I choose to look towards the window in the opposite direction instead. At least with my eyes closed I can pretend to have control over what I can't see.

I hear her shoes scuffing the linoleum and then feel
The first morning of the earth I stand with my 6 foot short-board jutting up out of the sand beside me and the cool shallows of the ocean shore lapping at my feet. Inviting me. Enticing me.

I watch the sun peek over the crystalline horizon. Lighting the clouds and colouring the sky in vibrant hues of purple, red, pink and gold. Sending wild sapphire glints across the ocean's deep blues.

I watch the sea's curves and pulls along the beach and close my eyes embrace it. Somewhere between it being an extension, a part, of my own being and something far greater and distinctly holy.

Through the entrance of the chapel Misty's three older sisters and May enter in identical brides maids dresses, each coloured in the girls favourite colours, and I hold my breath for my fiancé to walk through the doors behind them.
Around the corner of the door I finally see her, with my best man Ash taking the place of her father, and begin the walk down the aisle towards me.
I can't keep my eyes off of her.

Ooooooooookkkay this one took a while to get around to doing ^^;. Anywho, this was a request from :icontr1guy: who's desktop size (thus this pictures size) is 1440 by 900 pixels. Soooo if this suits your computer, then it's all good :D buuuuut if it doesn't I'm also posting the one I made for my desktop which is 1280 X 768 pixels. :D hope you forgive me for taking sooo long Tr1guy ^^;

Unfortunatly I've lost my only copy of the original PS and layered version of this image... so from now I won't be able to offer new resized images for anyone. If you are able to use one of the two I have up then feel free to use it or if you can edit it from a JPG file to suit your desktop then that is fine as well :) but sadly I'm unable to manipulate it unless I get my computer back with the original on it.

This is really very nicely done. I myself am quite a big fan of Calvin & Hobbes so this piece really grabbed my attention. I would like to use this as my desktop but my resolution is 1900x1200. Is there any possibility that you can post another one in that resolution?

Hi jferra. Thanks for your lovely comment :) Calvin and Hobbes is a great comic! haha I get it sent to my e-mail daily :). Thanks again!

Unfortunatly I lost my original copy about a month ago when my computer was stolen (I've bought a nice new one now though) but I've lost all my original art files... so I can't make a new one. I'm very sorry about that.

Hehe thanks, this pics by fay the most popular in my gallery haha. It'd bring back many memories for lots of people I think, ahh haha back in the day when I'd get the funny pages outta the paper and read all the awesome comics :). I'll see what I can do about a 'sequal' haha but my linearting is far less awesome then Nami's
